Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed on Thursday with Presidential Political and Media Advisor Buthaina Shaaban the latest developments in Syria and the efforts exerted to contribute to the political process in a way that guarantees Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Lavrov briefed Shaaban on the outcomes of the 4^th summit of Presidents of Astana guarantor countries, Russia, Iran and Turkey which was convened in Sochi on February 14^th.

Shaaban is taking part in the 8^th session of Valdai Club for the International Dialogue in Moscow.
