Damascus, SANA – The Syrian MOTEX exhibition marked the triumph of Syrian economy in the face of the illegal blockade imposed on the country, caretaker Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Khedr Orfali said on Wednesday.
In a statement marking the conclusion of the exhibition which was held in Beirut to showcase Syrian clothing and textiles products, Minister Orfali said that the showcased products are the pride of the Syrian industry, adding that “Syria exports roses and elegant products at a time when terrorism is being exported to Syria.”
He said that clientele from Arab countries said the Syrian products are very popular in Arab markets and they compete with foreign products in terms of quality and price.
The exhibition was organized by the Export Development and Promotion Association and the Syrian Exporters Union. It witnessed a huge turnout by merchants from Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, and other Arab countries, with a number of contracts signed with the Syrian exhibitors.
