Five kidnapped released, head of armed robbery gang arrested in Hama

Hama, SANA – The Internal Security Forces arrested a head of an armed robbery gang in the western countryside of Hama.

A source at Hama police command told SANA that an internal security forces patrol arrested on Thursday a terrorist nicknamed “Ibn Jahida” after accurate follow-up operations, adding that the terrorist heads an armed robbery gang that perpetrates crimes of murder, kidnapping and armed robbery in the vicinity of Salhab town in Hama according to the confessions he made during the investigation.

The source pointed out that the investigation is underway to arrest the rest of the gang members in order to punish them in accordance to the laws in force.

On the other hand, a source at Hama Governorate told SANA that the authorities released five people who were kidnapped in al-Eber village in Hama countryside.

The source noted that the kidnapped were detained in a den in the vicinity of the town located to the northwest of Hama city.
