Sakha, SANA – Chairman of the Organizing Committee of 6th Children of Asia International Sports Games Dmitry Glushko received on Monday members of the Syrian mission participating in the session that is due to held from 5 to 17 July, hosted by Sakha Republic.
Glushko expressed readiness to facilitate all issues of the Syrian mission, showing willingness to discuss the possibility of signing sports cooperation protocol to exchange the training camps between the teams of Sakha and Syria.
Head of the Syrian mission Muhammad Mayhoub said in the meeting that the Syrian mission’s members are taking part in the event to make achievements and send a message of amity and peace to the world.
At the end of the meeting, the Syrian delegation presented the shield of the Syrian Olympic Committee to the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and offered souvenirs to a number of the committee’s members.
The Syrian commission to the Asia International Sports Games conducted the entry rehearsal for the opening ceremony due to be held tomorrow.
Syria is participating in the event with 50 players in 11 games, including boxing, judo, Kurash, chess, ping-pong, wrestling, Sambo, athletic, archery, swimming and taekwondo.
