Warsaw, SANA – A Syrian student won the International Student Award in a competition involving 49 public and private Polish universities.
Aasef Salloum won over all international contestants holding Bachelor, Master’s and PhD degrees who participated in the competition, which was organized by the Medical University of Gdansk.
Holding the Syrian flag as he received the award, Salloum dedicated his success to his homeland Syria and its people who have been subjected to a terrorism war for five years now.
Salloum gained a Master’s Degree in Law (European Studies) and is studying to attain a PhD in Philosophy at the Catholic University of Lublin.
