Lattakia, SANA – The Drug Combating Department of Lattakia Police seized Wednesday evening 8000 Captagon tablets in the countryside of Jableh area in Lattakia countryside.
The Police Command Chief, Maj. Gen. Yasser al-Shreiti said in a statement to SANA on Thursday that two persons were arrested as the Drug Combating Department ambushed the site where the narcotics were seized.
Last May, the authorities in Lattakia seized nearly 2000 kg of narcotics carried in bags floating off the shore of al- Bassit area.
