More aid delivered to displaced people from Yarmouk Camp

Damascus, SANA- The General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Supported by the Syrian government and the Higher Relief Committee, distributed on Monday food and health baskets to Yarmouk Camp displaced people, who fled the neighborhood to escape the crimes of the terrorist organizations.

Thousands of residents fled Yarmouk Camp after terrorists from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS)  entered it last April and committed acts of killing and abduction against the civilians there.

The GAPAR Director Ali Mustafa told SANA that about 1500 bread bags in addition to vegetables, meat, water and other materials were distributed among the displaced residing in Yalda, Babbila and Beit Sahem towns in Damascus Countryside Province.

Mustafa stressed that food and medical aid, food supplements and other materials will continue to be provided to the displaced people who are staying in Zainab al-Hilaliye center in al-Tadamon area will continue.

Yarmouk neighborhood is a home to Syrian citizens and a majority of Palestinians displaced from their Israeli-occupied land, and has been besieged by terrorist groups since 2012.
