Syria strongly condemns the Israeli brutal aggression on Lebanese people- Foreign Ministry

Damascus, SANA – The Syrian Arab Republic on Monday strongly condemned the Israeli brutal aggression on the Lebanese brotherly people under the protection of USA.

“In continuation of the genocidal war waged by the Israeli enemy on the region, this usurping entity continues to shed the blood of innocents and commit massacres against defenseless civilians on a daily basis, in a precedent which modern history has never witnessed,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement.

The statement added that since this morning, the Israeli enemy has launched a continuous aggression against the brotherly Lebanese people, with its missiles and warplanes bombing people and stones, targeting residential buildings in the southern Lebanese regions, ambulances, medical centers, and convoys of civilian cars, which led to the martyrdom of hundreds and the injury of thousands of innocent civilians, children and women.

“While Syria condemns and denounces in the strongest terms that brutal and cowardly attack, and stresses that such criminal acts must be condemned by all member states of the United Nations, it affirms that those attacks would not have happened without the umbrella of protection and complicity that the United States of America provides to the Israeli entity that acts as if it is above international laws and the United Nations Charter, and as it is immune from any accountability for its heinous actions,” the Ministry added.

The Foreign Ministry added that Syria expresses its full solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people in confronting that brutal aggression, and is confident that their resistance will not be broken or deviated from its compass, and warns of the dangerous consequences of this Israeli endeavor to escalate the situation and expand the circle of aggression in the region.
