Homs, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad praised the efforts exerted by the workers of Homs Refinery and all institutions that contributed to extinguish the fire in Unit “100” in refinery and the high spirit of responsibility was represented in the performance of their duties.
Homs Governor Nimir Makhlouf conveyed President al-Assad’s appreciation to the refinery workers and all the labor and administrative cadres of the institutions that participated and provided support in the extinguishing operation, stressing that they are a role model for Syrian workers in various sectors.
Makhlouf stressed that the fire extinguishing operations was a great heroic and humanitarian act, and it was appreciated by the Syrian state, as Syrian workers were and still are loyal to their facilities and dedicated to their work.
He pointed out that the necessity of maintaining complete readiness to avoid any fires occurring in the oil facilities.
Fr their part, a number of workers expressed their thanks and gratitude for this gesture, stressing that they will continue to perform their duties with all professionalism based on humanitarian and patriotic duty to protect the national facilities, and to continue the wheel of production in support of the national economy.
