Riyadh, SANA- The Syrian Ambassador to Riyadh, Dr. Ayman Sousan, met with Chairman and members of the Saudi-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Saudi Shura Council.
Talks touched upon bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields and ways to enhance them ,with the two sides affirming the importance of the role played by parliamentary diplomacy in this context and the necessity of strengthening communication between the Syrian People’s Assembly and the Saudi Shura Council.
The two sides also discussed the situation in the region and latest developments of the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, emphasizing that the Palestinian issue is the essence of the conflict and work must be done to ensure the fulfillment of the Palestinians’ aspirations and the restoration of their legitimate rights.
The importance of fortifying the Arab situation by activating and strengthening joint Arab action to confront the challenges facing the nation and defend its interests was also stressed.
