Third South Summit demands that Israel withdraw from the occupied Arab territories

Kampala, SANA- Participants in the 3rd South Summit called on the Israeli occupation to withdraw from the occupied Syrian Golan and from all occupied Arab territories, while affirming their complete rejection of all forms of unilateral measures imposed on developing countries.

At the conclusion of their work Monday in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, the summit participants adopted a document in which they called on “Israel”, the occupying power, to withdraw from the occupied Syrian Golan and the rest of the occupied Lebanese and Palestinian territories, and to immediately and completely lift the Israeli blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip, which constitutes widespread collective punishment.

They also called for the full and immediate implementation of relevant international resolutions, including the resolutions taken by the United Nations in the wake of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip for the fourth month.

The document called for the complete dismantling and immediate cessation of all illegal settlement activities in the occupied Syrian Golan and the Palestinian territories, including occupied Jerusalem.

The document called on “Israel” to stop its attacks on Syria as it violates the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, threatens the lives of civilians, and hinders United Nations humanitarian operations.

The document stressed the categorical rejection of the imposition of laws and regulations with extraterritorial effects and all other forms of coercive economic measures, including unilateral measures, against developing countries.

The participants stressed continuing to work towards achieving a fair economic system in which developing countries have an active role and reforming the financial system in line with the developments and transformations that have occurred on the international scene over the past eight decades.
