Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Hassan Al-Ghabbash discussed with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tunisia to Syria Muhammad Al-Mahdhabi and the Acting Chargé d’Affairs of the Sudanese Embassy in Damascus Tariq Abdullah means of cooperation in the health field.
Al-Ghabbash and Ambassador Al-Mahdhabi expressed in a meeting held at the Ministry of Health the willingness of the two countries to enhance health cooperation, indicating the importance of activating what was previously agreed upon through the exchange of experiences and technical visits.
They noted the importance of getting advantage of the Tunisian experience in the field of primary health care and vaccination and pharmaceutical industries, in addition to addressing emerging diseases.
Al-Ghabbash referred to the positive stances of Tunisia towards Syria when providing of the humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people following earthquake that struck Syria last February.
In a related context, Al-Ghabbash met Abdullah and expressed the Ministry’s readiness to coordinate and cooperate in the pharmaceutical industries field.
He pointed out to the importance of strengthening and continuing cooperation between Syria and Sudan in the health sector, stressing that the two countries’ relations witnessed a great development during the recent period.
