Deir Ezzor, SANA- Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis affirmed that a work mechanism had been devised to improve the status of electricity in Deir Ezzor.
During a visit he paid, accompanied by Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi, to Deir Ezzor province, the minister promised an improvement in the status of electricity in the province by repairing damaged power-generating turbine in al-Taim power station near Deir Ezzor city.
He said that an amount of generated electricity in the province, which is estimated at 30 megawatts, is to be distributed equally to all areas in the province.
Khamis and Yazigi met officials in the eastern province, pointing out that the ministry is working hard to maintain power grids and establish new power-generating stations, noting that lack of fuel is one factor behind the decrease in generated power.
For his part, Health Minister said that the Ministry is determined to make up for the shortage in medical staff in Deir Ezzor hospitals through making contracts with physicians and appointing resident physicians.
