Damascus, SANA- Minister of Public Works and Housing, Suhail Abdullatif discussed with the Chargé d’Affairs of the UAE Embassy in Damascus, Counsellor Abdul Hakim al-Nuaimi, the relations between Syria and UAE and means of enhancing joint cooperation and coordinating efforts to continue providing support and assistance to those affected by the earthquake disaster.
Minister Abdullatif appreciated the great role of the United Arab Emirates and its standing by Syria immediately after the catastrophe of the devastating earthquake, explaining that the Syrian government is working according to a national plan to confront the effects of the earthquake as providing aid according to the stages of this plan.
In turn, Al-Nuaimi pointed out the UAE’s keenness to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing that the assistance will be continuous according to the needs of each stage.
