Upon President al-Assad’s directives, the army carries out drills with live ammunition

Damascus, SANA-Upon the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed forces, President Bashar al-Assad, and in light of the combatant exercise programs for this year, one of the army formations carried out 10-day drills with live ammunition in participation of different land and air forces and in cooperation with Russian friendly troops.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Minister of Defense, Ali Mahmoud Abbas and the Commander of Russian forces working in Syria, Lieutenant General Alexander Chaiko and senior officers of both friendly armies attended the drills.

The drills, carried out with Artillery, helicopters, rocket launchers and different ammunition are imitating tracks of real combatant operations in similar conditions.
