Tehran, SANA- The activities of the 36th International Islamic Unity Conference was launched in Tehran under the slogan: “Islamic Unity, Peace and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the Islamic World; Executive solutions and operational measures”, with the participation of Syria, along with thinkers and researchers from 60 other states.
Syria is represented in the conference by the Ministry of Endowments, by Dr. Nabil Suleiman and Dr. Muhammad Hassan Awad, in addition to the presence of the Syrian ambassador in Tehran, Dr.Shafiq Dayoub.
The two-day conference aims to consolidate unity and cooperation, bring Muslim scholars closer together in the scientific and cultural fields, in addition to enhancing Islamic unity.
The activities of the conference focus on several themes, including just peace, combating terrorism, religious freedom, combating blasphemy and extremism, and mutual respect among Islamic sects.
