Syria’s religious education has significant role in combating extremism, Minister al-Sayyed

Moscow, SANA- Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments), Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed, praised the deeply-rooted relations between Syria and Russia in all domains.

Delivering a speech in a press conference held Thursday in Moscow, al-Sayyed said “We are here upon an invitation from the religious bodies in Russia to participate in the international conference on religious education in service of the community , where we affirmed Syria’s support to the Russian special military operation and the significant role President Vladimir Putin plays in limiting the attempts of the West and US-led NATO to expand towards Russian boundaries”.

Speaking to SANA correspondent in Russia, al-Sayyed asserted the importance of the conference in clarifying Syria’s religious education key role in encountering terror and extremism.
