Occupied Golan, SANA- A delegation from the Communication Committee in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 visited the occupied Syrian Golan to express solidarity with its people against the wind turbines settlement scheme.
SANA’s reporter in the Golan said that the delegation visited the sit-in tent that the Golan’s citizens set in al-Manfukha area, east of Baraka village, to reject the occupation’s scheme, which aims to seize thousands of dunums of their lands to set up turbines on them.
Sheikh Nazih Mahmoud, on behalf of the people of the Golan’s citizens, welcomed the delegation, stressing the importance of the visit, which comes within the framework of the Palestinians’ solidarity with their brothers in the Golan.
For his part, Head of the Palestinian committee, Sheikh Awni Khneifis, affirmed solid bonds between the Palestinian and Syrian peoples in confronting the Israeli schemes and conspiracies hatched against them both.
Khneifis added that the citizens of the occupied land, through their steadfastness on their land and their adherence to their rights, are able to thwart all Israeli schemes.
“We are here today to express our firm position in condemnation and rejection of the conspiracy targeting Syria,” he said.
For his part, Dean of the liberated Syrian captives, Sidqi al-Maqt, gave a detailed presentation on the danger of the wind turbine scheme.
Syria constantly affirms that the occupied Golan is an integral part of its territory and works to liberate every inch of its land by all available means, as it is an inalienable right.
