Tehran, SANA- The 33rd Tehran International Book Fair started activities on Wednesday under the slogan “With health, we are healthy,” with the participation of local publishers from several countries, including Syria.
The opening ceremony of the 11-day fair was held in Tehran on Tuesday, in the presence of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili.
The Assistant of the Iranian Culture Minister said in a speech during the opening ceremony that the book fair in its 33rd session will be launched with the participation of 2,800 publishers, including 1,700 publishers through the exhibition pavilions and 1,100 publishers in the cyberspace, in addition to 170 foreign publishers from 30 countries, in addition to an invitation to more than 50 foreign guests to visit the fair.
In turn, the book fair’s spokesman, Ali Ramadani noted that 32 countries will participate in the fair at the foreign publishers’ section and the international section, as guests and friendship groups from several countries will also participate in the event.
