Damascus, SANA-Chinese Embassy in Damascus offered a financial grant to fund imports of medicine, medical equipment and treatment requirements to the Children hospital, bone marrow and stem cells transplantation center.
Director of the Children Hospital in Damascus Rustom Makkiyah and the Chinese Ambassador in Damascus Feng Biao signed the document of receiving the financial grant.
“Syria appreciates the Chinese initiative and its contribution to supporting the Children hospital and the bone marrow and stem cells transplantation center, particularly in light of the coercive economic measures that affected the medical domain in Syria,” Higher Education Minister, Bassam Ibrahim, said in a statement following the signing ceremony.
The Chinese Ambassador, for his part, stressed his country’s continued support to Syria, particularly in the medical sector.
