Hasaka, SANA- Syriac Catholic Patriarch Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan said that the Syrian people are committed to their homeland despite wars and harsh conditions the country has passed through.
Patriarch Younan ‘s remarks came during his pastoral visit to Hasaka province.
In a statement to the media outlets after a mass at the Syriac Catholic Archdiocese in Hasaka, Patriarch Younan called for steadfastness and commitment to the land, pointing out to the clergymen role in the steadfastness of Christian community and their refusal to immigration.
The Patriarch expressed pleasures for his presence among the people of Hasaka province, and prayed that Syria will continue to be a symbol of civilization and openness, and that its inhabitants will be an example for future generations through their attachment to their roots.
