97 new coronavirus cases recorded, 6 fatalities in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 97 new coronavirus infections, 100 recoveries, and 6 fatalities were reported in Syria, Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

The Ministry said in a statement that the total number of coronavirus cases recorded in the country has reached up to 48,267, while the recoveries have amounted to 29,272, and the deaths have reached up to 2,755.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22^nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was reported on the 29^th of the same month.
