Daraa, SANA- Gunmen have flocked to settle their status and hand over their weapons to the Syrian Arab Army units in Saida town and its surrounding, east of Daraa City.
For the second day in a row, dozens of gunmen, the wanted and military deserters joined the ongoing processes of settling status in Saida town and its surrounding, Daraa eastern countryside according to the agreement proposed by the state, SANA reporter said.
A number of the locals in the town expressed satisfaction with starting the settlements, which reflect the state’s keenness on ensuring the safety of the citizens and consolidating security and stability.
In a statement to SANA, Mayor of Kahil town, Ayesh al-Masri underlined the importance of the settlement processes, in addition to the desire of most of the wanted to settle their status and return to their normal life.
“The settling processes are a new opportunity for young men to return to their normal lives and to contribute to the reconstruction process”, Mohammad Abu al-Issa, Head of Saida Town Council said.
