Health Ministry: 278 new coronavirus cases recorded, 68 patients recover, 12 pass away

Damascus, SANA-The Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 278 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 68 coronavirus patients recovered, while 12 others passed away.

In a statement, the Ministry added that the total number of the coronavirus cases detected in Syria has reached up to 31,426 till now, of which 23,223 have recovered, while 2,158 others have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was recorded in Syria on March 22^nd in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality from the virus was reported on the 29^th of the same month.
