Damascus, SANA- The traffic conditions in the Syrian provinces on Friday were listed by the Traffic Department at the Interior Ministry as follows:
Damascus Countryside: All roads in the province are passable except Damascus-Homs highway is hardly passable due to ice and snow drifts.
Damascus-Beirut highway and Damascus- Daraa highway are also hardly passable because of ice and snow accumulations.
In Homs, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous, all main roads and highways are passable except some roads across mountains and deep zones from ice and snow drifts.
In Sweida province all roads are not passable due to snow accumulations except Damascus-Sweida highway, which is hardly passable.
In Quneitra all roads in the province are hardly passable because of ice.
The Traffic Department recommended drivers to use fog lights, check brakes and slow down to avoid accidents on crossroads, slopes and turns.
