Damascus, SANA- Participants in a joint Syrian-Russian press conference, which was held in Damascus on Thursday, discussed the efforts exerted by both sides to restore normal life to the areas liberated from terrorism in Syria and to repatriate the refugees and the displaced to their home.
Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf, affirmed that the Syrian state is intensifying efforts to repatriate the displaced Syrians to their residence and end the suffering they encounter abroad.
“Despite the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States and its allies on the Syrian people, the government has fulfilled tens of service projects in various governorates that contribute to the returning of the displaced,” Makhlouf said.
He appreciated the joint work with Russia at all levels, particularly in the war against terrorism and the relentless endeavors to repatriate the Syrian refugees.
For his part, Assistant Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmad Khleifawi said that the health sector is stable and Syria enjoys acceptable health security as a result of the strategy adopted by the Ministry of Health, despite the volume of the challenges imposed by the terrorist war and the accompanying economic blockade and unilateral coercive sanctions imposed on it.
For his part, representative of the Russian Coordination Center, pointed out that the main efforts during the current month were focused on rebuilding the infrastructure, repatriating refugees, implementing humanitarian operations and providing medical assistance to the population and removing mines.
