Homs, SANA- The Central Committee for Exportation (CCE) in the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry called for adopting a package of procedures for supporting exporters and finding mechanisms for this support according to each sector with the aim of increasing the production capacity of the national product in various industrial and agricultural sectors.
In a statement to SANA, Chairman of the Committee Loae Nahlawei pointed out the importance of activating the support of exports, finding new mechanism for support with changeable ratio for each sectors according to the conditions and the foreign competitive capability whether for the agricultural or industrial products, in addition to providing facilitations in regard with exporting procedures to Iraq through reducing the fees imposed on the Syrian goods imported from Iraq, activating the accreditation of the Syrian Arab Organization for Standardization and Metrology in the Iraqi side
He called for activating agricultural exports to Jordan and supporting the “Made in Syria” expo for clothing, textiles, and production requirements through increasing the numbers of visitors from abroad to guarantee the success of the expo, particularly that it is specialized for exportations.
For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Abdel-Kafi al-Masmoum highlighted in a similar statement to SANA the positive impact of supporting the exports with 10 percent for the industrialists in cooperation with the Local Production and Exports Support and Development Agency, hailing the competitive reputation of the Syrian product, particularly in the neighboring countries, for the easiness of its delivery, competitiveness of the prices, particularly following the opening of the border crossing between Syrian and Iraq.
He stressed that the issue of encouraging and supporting exports have positive outcomes on increasing the production capacity, as the external market supports the internal market and creates competition among the producers.
In turn, Director General of the Local Production and Exports Support and Development Agency Thaer Fayad indicated that the industrial exports have witnessed remarkable increase during the past period in various local industrial productions which positively affect the development and increase of the local products.
The Central Committee for Exportation in the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry held its first meeting for the current year in the headquarters of Homs Chamber of Industry.
