Moscow, SANA- Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East John X Yazigi affirmed that Syria is a civilized country and far from extremism, hoping a political solution to the crisis in Syria would be reached and the Syrians would live in peace.
“The Syrian people are far from extremism or killing and we have exported civilization to the whole world,” Patriarch Yazigi told SANA correspondent in Moscow.
He added that a settlement will be reached soon with the help of the Russian people.
