Damascus, SANA – Damascus-based al-Jaish Club won the title of the Republic Wrestling Championship for Men, which was held on Wednesday in al-Faiha Sports City.
More than 100 players from various provinces took part in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling completions in the framework of the tournament.
Al-Jaish came first in the club rankings in freestyle wrestling with 50 points, followed by Daraa team with 45 points and Homs team with 42 points.
Al-Jaish also won the first place in Greco-Roman wrestling with 49 points. Quneitra came second with 47 points, ahead of Damascus team that came third with 44 points.
