Sweida, SANA – At an estimated cost of about SYP 5 billion, construction works have of al-Shifa Charity Hospital that is specialized in cancer diseases in the southern Sweida province have started.
The project is funded by donations provided by the locals of the province and expatriates.
The hospital aims to provide health services to cancer patients, including early detection of cancer and treatment of tumors to help reduce the physical, psychological and therapeutic burdens on patients, in addition to providing more medical and treatment services.
The hospital will be built on a land area of about 6,000 square meters and consists of four floors and two basements with an area of about 2000 square meters. It will accommodate 100 beds and include sections for sterilization, archives, warehouses, a department for central emergency and emergency operations, an intensive care unit and a section for radiography, in addition to comprehensive clinics and a section for treating pediatric cancer patients.
